Tuesday Night

The problem with this is that I often leave it until Tuesday night before sitting down to actually write something, and by then it’s often something hastily cobbled together in a desperate attempt to get it over and done with. Like right now.

I often come up with actual ideas of things I could include, actual topics that I might be able to offer some insight on, but just as often I find myself putting it off until I have more time. Writing about, you know, big topics involves thinking, planning, drafting, re-doing and careful consideration that what you’re saying might not be misconstrued in ways you didn’t intend. You just don’t get that when you’re trying to bash one out quickly.

Take that last sentence, for example. I’ve written that in a hurry, simply and innocently describing that there’s not much quality in a rushed job. Some people, however, may misinterpret that line as a bit of hilarious masturbation innuendo.

Like most of these recent weeks, I don’t really have anywhere to go with this as a result of my lack of advanced planning. I also don’t really have anywhere to go from the phrase “hilarious masturbation innuendo” without appalling myself, my kin and my species as a whole. Although then again, this is the Internet, and far worse things live out here. You know, like, naked people…

Did you know Mary Berry likes reggae? According to this rowdy little lot, she does, along with having a degree, a job and being the proud recipient of a nondescript medal. Apparently she’s not as big a fan of football as Trevor Nelson though, and as far as that job goes, there’s only a few more weeks of Bake Off left, so she may well be signing on before the year’s out.

There’s not been much of a loudmouth, spoken punk-like presence here yet this year so it’s nice to know these guys fill a gap. Brain’s run out of words now. Funnily, I do have a degree, and I got it for making words. Now I can’t, because brain tired, have to pee.
